Electricity network pricing: how can we send the right economic signals for the Energy Transition?

Conference Chair Debate

,   -
Raymond Aron Room (2nd floor), Paris-Dauphine University

From 4pm to 7pm

Charging for the use of electricity transmission and distribution networks is an important issue if the right locational signals are to be given to investors and network users. The electricity industry is in the midst of a phase of change, and the services provided to consumers are more than ever at the heart of the debate on the development of the regulatory framework for network companies, with different issues at transmission and distribution level.

In France, the CRE and the various stakeholders have launched consultations on short- and medium-term changes to TURPE. Against this backdrop, the aim of the conference is to revisit the economic theory and practices of regulators in Europe in order to identify ways of improving the current regulatory framework. The conference will also provide an opportunity to contrast the vision of network pricing issues in France from the point of view of the various players: producers, transmission and distribution network operators.

Conference organised by the Association des Economistes de l'Energie (AEE) in cooperation with the CGEMP, the Governance and Regulation Chair and the European Electricity Markets (CEEM) Chair at Paris Dauphine University.
