Davide Stroppa is Senior Policy Expert and Team Leader for AI Act implementation in the Digital Finance Unit at the EBA (European Banking Authority). He is currently working on digital operational resilience, ICT and emerging risks, as well as leading the work on the implementation of AI Act in the banking sector. Prior to that, he worked on the set-up of the oversight framework envisaged by the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA); over the past years, he also led the EBA work on the assessment of regulatory and supervisory equivalence of non-EU countries and was involved in third country cooperation. Earlier at EBA, he had worked on the analysis of banks’ recovery plans, and was a member of Supervisory Colleges of several EU cross-border banks. He regularly attends the G7 Cyber Expert Group (CEG) and was a member of the European Systemic Cyber Risk Group (ESCG). Before joining ‎the EBA, he had worked for a large pan-European bank, first as an economist and then in the Finance and Risk Management Departments.
