A forum for regulators
The Club of Regulators is an independent forum inside the Chair Governance and Regulation hosted at the University Paris-Dauphine. The Club brings together regulatory authorities willing to exchange on institutional and organisational challenges which are common to different sectors, with the aim of proposing coherent actions and promote cooperation at both national and European levels.
A platform of regulation stakeholders
While remaining fully independent, the Club actively participates in the activities of the Chair Governance and Regulation and thus benefits from a multidisciplinary platform where regulation stakeholders and experts meet and engage in constructive debates and exchanges.
The Chair Governance and Regulation and the Club of Regulators
- carry out research projects on the organisation and assessment of economic governance with the aim of formulating proposals for an adequate framework and tools,
- provide training programmes conceived for academics as well as professionals,
- contribute to the public debate on governance and regulatory issues by disseminating knowledge to different audiences, and organising working groups and events involving the stakeholders.
A cross-sectoral approach
The originality of this platform lies in proposing a much-needed comparison across sectors. The Club of Regulators currently brings together authorities regulating the energy (electricity and gas), transport (rail, road and air), communications and media, online gambling and healthcare sectors.
