Jen Ablitt returned to the Office of Rail and Road in 2017, after 6 years at the European Union Agency for Railways.  Her areas of special interest include reporting, data collection and analysis processes, as well as safety management and the relationship with organisational culture.  She has a decade of experience in international engagement, now leading the UK delegation to the Channel Tunnel Safety Authority, regulating the infrastructure manager and Tunnel operators, alongside the French delegation.  She also leads for ORR on the Risk Management Maturity Model – a tool for assessing safety management, industry employee health strategy and industry processes to implement accident investigation recommendations.   She lives in South West London, close enough to the river to get out rowing every weekend !
