Benoît Sagot is a research director in computer science at Inria, specialising in automatic language processing (NLP). He also holds a chair in the PRAIRIE institute dedicated to research into artificial intelligence, as well as the annual "Computer Science and Digital Science" chair at the Collège de France for 2023-2024. His research interests include language models, machine translation, the development of linguistic resources and computational linguistics, with a particular focus on French in all its diversity and on poorly endowed languages.
