Godefroy is Head of Product Design & Ecosystem of AXA Global P&C since 2015; previously, he was Head of the AXA Research Fund. Since 2012, he is Vice-President of the French National Council on Digital Technologies (CNNum).

Prior to this, he was CFO and Head of Strategy of Institut Télécom, a group of 6 French engineering and management schools specialized in IT, where he developed strong ties with the French start-up ecosystem. Since 2007, he has been Associate Professor in Digital Humanities and Management Science at Telecom ParisTech, and he is the author of several books and articles on lean management, digital transformation and innovation. Between 2000 and 2002, he was Adviser for the digital transformation of public services to Michel Sapin, then French Minister for Public Service and State Reform. He began his career as a civil servant, working of the regulation of telecommunications then on IT projects.
