Isabelle Ryl is a professor at the University of Lille. From September 2010 to March 2018, she was Director of the Paris Inria research center, then Acting Deputy Director General for Transfer and Industrial Partnerships at Inria from March 2018 to September 2018. She was vice-president of Cap Digital (French cluster of excellence for digital content and services) from 2014 to 2019, and a member of the Innovation Council (interministerial body in charge of defining the major orientations and priorities of innovation policy) from June 2018 to January 2021. She has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Agoranov incubator since 2011. She is currently Director of PRAIRIE, one of the four institutes launched as part of France's national artificial intelligence strategy.
