Johannes KINDLER

Johannes Kindler is a lawyer at the international law firm Bird&Bird. His expertise lies mainly in energy law and infrastructure financing in this sector. Johannes is co-author of a handbook on infrastructure finance. Prior to joining Bird&Bird, Johannes spent most of his professional career in the German Federal Government. After seven years in the Ministry of Economics, he advised Chancellors Kohl, Schröder and Merkel, particularly in the areas of industrial and energy policy, financial markets and foreign trade. Between 2007 and January 2012, Johannes was Vice-Chairman of the German regulator, the Federal Agency for Energy, Telecommunications, Post and Railways (BNetzA), as well as Vice-Chairman of the Council of European Energy Regulators (CEER), and Member of the Board of Directors of the Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators (ACER).
