Michel Derdevet is General Secretary and a member of ERDF's Executive Board. He previously held a number of positions of responsibility in ministerial cabinets and spent most of his career at EDF and then RTE. A lecturer at the Institut d'Etudes Politiques de Paris (where he is responsible for the "Europe and Enterprise" course), he also teaches at the College of Europe in Bruges. He has also published other works on energy, including "Les réseaux électriques au cœur de la civilisation industrielle" (Timée - 2007), "L'Europe en panne d'énergie, plaidoyer pour une vraie politique énergétique commune" (Descartes - May 2009), "L'avenir énergétique, cartes sur table" (Gallimard - February 2012) and "L'énergie de l'avenir" (Paris Berlin - January 2013).
