The OECD Network of Economic Regulators (NER) and the Governance & Regulation Chair at Université Paris Dauphine|PSL are cooperating on a webinar series and two in-person conferences (April 2026 and April 2027) aimed at exploring how data and digitalisation, including related tools such as artificial intelligence, can be relied upon by regulators to enhance regulatory and regulator's effectiveness, trust and sector resilience, while managing new risks related to cybersecurity, governance and accountability.
The April 2026 conference will explore how regulators can use data and digital tools proactively to strengthen the resilience of network industries, rather than only responding to crises. The conference will frame a discussion on what “resilience” means from a regulatory perspective in the digital age, and how the various stakeholders in the government and in the industry can cooperate in building tools allowing a greater ability to manage crisis, reliability and an ability to adapt and evolve.
