Sophie NERBONNE

Sophie NERBONNE is Director in charge of economic co-regulation at the CNIL. This new post was created following the implementation of the RGPD, in order to accelerate the scaling up of the CNIL's support for the economic sector and deploy the "network heads" strategy for regulation outside the silo.
A graduate of the Institut d'études politiques de Paris and Paris II Assas in law, Sophie first gained experience in the private sector as a lawyer at SODEXHO before joining the CNIL, where she was successively in charge of the financial sector and then responsible for the economic affairs department in the legal division before becoming deputy director of legal affairs, technical expertise and international affairs at the CNIL and director of compliance in 2014. She paid particular attention to European and international aspects during Cnil's presidency of the G29 in 2008-2009. Appointed as an expert to the European Commission on credit issues, she is a regular speaker in all professional economic circles on all areas of personal data protection. She teaches at a number of universities.
