Emmanuelle Mathieu is a Senior Lecturer in political sciences at the University of Lausanne. Before that she worked at the Barcelona Institue for International Studies (IBEI), the German Research Institute for Public Administration Speyer, the European University Institute in Florence and the Catholic University of Louvain. She specialized in regulatory policies and governance in utilities sectors, with particular interest for the European context. Her most recent research deals with electricity policy reforms in Middle East and Northern African countries. She has published in journals like Regulation & Governance, Public Administration, Public Policy and Administration, Journal of European Integration and West European Politics.
