Stéphane SAUSSIER

Stéphane SAUSSIER is a professor at IAE Paris-Sorbonne, where he heads the Chair in Public-Private Partnership Economics (EPPP) and the Global Executive MBA (GEMBA) programme. An internationally renowned specialist in the economics of public-private partnerships, he has notably co-authored a report for the French Economic Analysis Council with Jean Tirole (winner of the 2014 Nobel Prize in Economics), presenting recommendations for improving the efficiency of public procurement. He has published several books and more than 70 articles in peer-reviewed books and journals. He is regularly called upon to provide expert reports (OECD, European Parliament, UN, CEPR-LTI, etc.).
Since October 2025, he has also been one of the scientific directors of the Institute for Water Economics, located at the Louis Bachelier Institute. His latest report for the Economic Analysis Council, in January 2026, focused on ‘Water under pressure: reconciling water conservation, equity and investment.’
