Fadhel Lakhoua has been the Director of Financial Affairs and Wholesale Markets Surveillance at CRE, the French electricity and Gas regulator, since April 2009.

Fadhel joined CRE in October 2005 as Director of Financial Affairs. He previously held several positions in the banking and financial sector, as an economist at Caisse des dépôts et consignations (1994-2000), in project finance at IXIS (2000-2001), and as Project manager in the Strategic Planning and Corporate Development departments of IXIS Asset Management (2001-2004) and CNCE (French Savings bank, 2004-2005).

Fadhel is an alumnus of Ecole Polytechnique (1992) and ENSAE (1994).
