Jean-Yves Ollier works as Maître des requêtes at the Conseil d’Etat, the French Supreme Court for administrative law. He directed the Club of Regulators from 2014 to 2017.
Jean-Yves Ollier is a graduate of ENA (Ecole Nationale d’Administration), Ecole Normale Supérieure and Sciences Po. Jean-Yves Ollier started his career at the Conseil d’Etat in 1995. From 1999 to 2001, Jean-Yves Ollier was seconded to the Permanent Representation of France to the European Union in Brussels as deputy head of the trade office, where he worked on WTO matters and trade disputes. In 2001, Jean-Yves Ollier joined the Group Audit Department of AXA, where he performed audits on strategic and management issues. He became a lawyer at the Paris bar in 2004, specialising in public and environmental law. He was partner at the international law firm Allen & Overy from 2007 to 2011. Jean-Yves Ollier was the managing director of the Commission de régulation de l’énergie (CRE), the French energy regulator, from 2011 to 2017.
