Allan Drazen is Professor of Economics at the University of Maryland. He is a Research Associate of the National Bureau of Economic Research and the Center for Economic Policy Research. He received his Ph.D. in from the MIT and has also taught at the University of Chicago, Princeton University, Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and Tel-Aviv University. He was the Co-Editor of Economics and Politics from 1998 to 2003. He has published many articles in academic journals, as well as the graduate-level textbook Political Economy in Macroeconomics. His current research is on various aspects of electoral politics and on behavior of political leaders, focused on behavioral and experimental approaches.
