Advisor to the Minister of Culture, the President of the French Republic, Chairman of the Centre National du Cinéma (CNC) and Garandeau Consulting, Eric has been Director of Public Affairs for TikTok in France since September 2020.
At the CNC, he launched the Jour le Plus Court (Shortest Day), the Aide au Cinéma du Monde (World Cinema Aid), the plan to digitise cinemas and restore and digitise heritage films. With violinist David Grimal, he founded the symphony orchestra Les Dissonances, which he chairs (with the Lumières d'Europe academy as a member). He has also published two novels with Albin Michel, Tapis Rouge (2019) and Galerie des Glaces (2021).
At TikTok, he manages relations with public authorities and organises partnerships with cultural institutions: Château de Versailles, Musée d'Orsay, Grand Palais - Réunion des Musées nationaux, Cannes International Film Festival (including the #TikTokShortFilm competition, which has racked up 9 billion views), Paris Book Festival, etc.
