Etienne Pfister is the Chief economist of the French Competition Authority since 2013. Prior to this position, he was an assistant professor and deputy rapporteur general of the French Competition Authority. His main areas of interests cover the various aspects of the economic analysis of competition law, including vertical restraints, merger analysis, two-sided markets, damage estimation. He has been particularly involved in cases in the health industry, in the internet economy, and retail industry. He supervised the French contribution to the joint Franco-German report on data and competition law.
