Maëlis Renault is a graduate of the Master's degree in Network Industries and the Digital Economy (IREN), jointly awarded by Paris Dauphine University, Paris-Saclay, Télécom Paris and Ecole Polytechnique, as well as the Master's degree in Applied Geo-economics from Sciences Po Bordeaux.

She joined the Governance and Regulation Chair in October 2024 as part of her CIFRE thesis with Tactis. This thesis, supervised by Éric Brousseau, focuses on the organisation of the electricity distribution network.
