Nicolas Routier joined Le Groupe La Poste in 1985, he had several positions : Director of the Oise Department, Director of Purchasing and Management Control and Strategy. In 2001 he became Deputy CEO "Strategy and Development" and member of the Executive Board.

From 2004 to 2009 he was Chairman and CEO of MEDIAPOST.

In 2009 he was appointed CEO of the Mail division and in July 2014, he became CEO of the Mail, Parcel and Services Division.

In September 2015, Nicolas Routier becomes Deputy CEO in charge of "Institutional Strategy, Regulation, European issues, International and Legal Affairs.”
