750 billion will be devoted to the European recovery plan, which will be included in the European Union's 2021-2027 budget.
The France Recovery Plan, which amounts to €100 billion committed over two years (2020-2022), has three priorities: ecological transition (€30 billion), economic competitiveness and sovereignty (€34 billion), and social and territorial cohesion (€36 billion).
It aims to create 160,000 jobs. In terms of energy transition, the government's aim is to implement the low-carbon strategy by investing in four priority sectors: energy-efficient renovation of buildings, transport, the agricultural transition and energy. The social and territorial cohesion strand involves three priority areas: safeguarding employment, boosting productivity and supporting the most vulnerable at local level (digital inclusion, revitalising town centre businesses).
Finally, the recovery plan includes specific measures for the digital sector to encourage the development of high value-added activities in France and create jobs. The plan focuses on two key areas: the digital transformation of government (dematerialisation of the 250 most frequently used administrative procedures) and the introduction of support measures for businesses.
Three speakers will address these three aspects at this conference, particularly from the point of view of the regulated sectors, and explain how they can effectively contribute to economic recovery, what obstacles remain and under what conditions France can take advantage of this plan to develop its economic assets and strengthen its competitiveness:
