Margareta Chesaru is leading the public affairs and public policy activities at UiPath. She has an extensive background in public policy, legal and regulatory affairs. In her current role, she is bringing her energy and know-how into shaping a multi-stakeholder dialogue on the role of AI and automation technologies in the context of the digital economy, while also looking for solutions to address today’s educational and societal challenges. Margareta represents UiPath in various trade & industry associations, including the American Chamber of Commerce to the European Union, where she holds the Vice-Chair position in the Future of Work, Education & Skills Task Force. Before starting her career in public affairs, Margareta worked as an attorney-at-law focusing on banking and finance, competition and consumer rights. She also advised large shareholders in connection with several privatization transactions of state-owned companies and assisted financial institutions in the process of implementing various types of international finance and acquisition projects. Margareta graduated from the University of Bucharest - Faculty of Law in 2013 with honors. In 2016, she successfully completed a Foreign Policy and Diplomacy course at the Romanian Diplomatic Institute, and she is also a fellow of the Young Leaders Program (2019) of the Aspen Institute Romania. Margareta is fluent in both English and German. While actively involved in several volunteering programs, she is committed to make a change for underrepresented groups.
