Miguel Amaral, a French national, served as Head of the Better Regulation and Innovation Programme at the OECD. He has notably been responsible for the development of the OECD Recommendation on Agile Regulatory Governance to Harness Innovation and was a member of the WEF Global Future Council on the Future of Technology Policy. Prior to joining the OECD, he was Head of the Rail Infrastructure Management Unit at ART (French Transport Regulatory Body) and as Chair of the bi-national permanent service for the regulation of the Channel Tunnel. He holds a PhD in Economics from the University Paris1 Panthéon-Sorbonne. Since July 2024, he is Executive Director at EY ( Strategy and Transactions - Valuation, Modelling and Economics).
