Olivier Fréget is a lawyer whose practice has focused for over thirty years on cases involving competition law and sector regulation. He regularly appears before the commercial courts, sectoral regulatory authorities, the ADLC, the Commission and the Court of Justice on these issues. He teaches competition law at the Institut d'Études Politiques de Paris and at the Paris Cité law school (Paris V). Olivier is the author of numerous articles and a book entitled ‘La Concurrence, une idée toujours neuve en Europe et en France’ (Odile Jacob - 2015).
Before founding his own firm in 2014, he was a partner at Allen & Overy in Paris for 8 years, where he was head of the Competition and European Law department in Paris and co-head of the global Competition Law group from 2010 to 2014.
He holds a postgraduate diploma in International Private Law and International Trade Law from the University of Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne, and has also studied economics and international politics. A convinced and militant European, he is a member of several think tanks on competition policy and the European Union and was a member of the expert group on commercial justice within the États-Généraux de la Justice.
