Stéphane has spent his entire career with ArcelorMittal. He started in 2004 as Energy Market Analyst for Europe, before becoming Project Manager for major energy efficiency projects in Europe (France, Spain, Poland), the former Soviet Union (Ukraine) and Canada. He then became Head of Energy for France and Belgium, before extending his role to that of Director of EU Energy Regulation.

Since January 2018, Stéphane has been Director of Public Affairs for ArcelorMittal France. In December 2019, he took over as President of A3M, the French metals, mining and minerals federation. He is also Vice-Chairman of Uniden (federation of energy-intensive industries).

Stéphane is a graduate of the Ecole Polytechnique (France) and the Universidad Politecnica de Madrid (Spain).
