Professor emeritus of European private law at Maastricht University, Guest professor at Trento University and the University of Oldenburg; I am also Deputy-Justice at a Court of Appeals. Within the European Law Institute, I chair the project teams on “Blockchain Technology and Smart Contracts” and “Access to Digital Assets”, for both projects I am also co-reporter.
