Dr Geza Sapi has been working in the Chief Economist Team of DG Competition at the European Commission since 2013. He holds a PhD in industrial economics from Heinrich-Heine University Dusseldorf. Geza has been involved in shaping the Commission's state aid policy and contributed to the economic underpinnings of the State Aid Modernisation programme and DG COMP's initiatives to ex-post evaluate state aid measures. He has worked on a large number of state aid cases, in particular in energy and transport services.
