Leonardo Meeus is Associate Professor and Partner at Vlerick Business School. He is the Academic Director of the Vlerick Energy Centre. He is also part-time professor of the Florence School of Regulation at the European University Institute, and a guest professor at KU Leuven where he graduated as a commercial engineer with a PhD in electrical engineering. Leonardo is an expert on company strategies beyond the market, and on energy regulation and markets, which first led him to Ireland to work for a project developer, then to Florence to work with EU institutions and regulators, and then back to Brussels. He publishes in journals, such as Energy Economics, Energy Policy, European Journal of Operational Research, and IEEE Transactions on Power Systems.
