A workshop organised by the Club of Regulators and the OECD's Network of Economic Regulators
The cost of capital is a central issue for regulatory agencies, as it is a key variable for price regulation in network industries, as well as for competition policies and investment decisions. The aim of this closed workshop involving regulators and experts, will be to compare the practices across countries and industries. In particular, the contexts in which regulators use the cost of capital (sectors, missions, in combination with which authorities), the methodologies they rely upon, the way they interact with the various stakeholders and the key challenges they face will be discussed.
