Mr. Surya P. Sethi, is a professional with over 50 years of diverse and multi-disciplinary experience spanning areas such as sustainability, climate change, energy, power, infrastructure, multiple industrial sectors, business development, finance and academia.

Sethi has worked in over 35 countries and his experience spans transactional, functional and management responsibilities to policy and regulatory design at the enterprise, sectoral and national levels. Having established himself as a leading expert of contemporary development issues facing a resource and climate-constrained world, Sethi capped his long career by providing thought leadership in academia and multiple global think tanks.

Sethi has held many significant positions, including Principal Adviser (Power and Energy) and Core Climate Negotiator in the rank of Permanent Secretary, Government of India; Chief Investment Officer, International Finance Corporation, the private sector arm of the World Bank Group; Head of Overseas Projects for the TATA Group; Visiting Professor LKY School of Public Policy, NUS; and UNESCO Chair Professor Climate Science & Policy at TERISAS.

Currently, Sethi is a Distinguished Fellow of FSR Global, a Regulatory Hub engaged in Research, Training, and Policy Dialogues. Sethi is also a member of the Advisory Board of Envision India which is part of a US$ 20 billion global conglomerate engaged in delivering solutions for a sustainable future. Lastly, Sethi is member of the Board of Directors of the Indian chapter of the International Association of Energy Economists.

Sethi holds a Post Graduate Degree in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering.
