Vera Sopeña is the chief of staff of the President of the CNMC. She is a lawyer, admitted to the New York and Madrid Bar, specialized in antitrust law. She joined the CNMC in 2017 and had previously been from 2008 to 2013 advisor to the President of the CNC, the extinguished Spanish antitrust authority that merged with regulation agencies in 2013”.
