Miguel Amaral, a French national, is Senior Economist (Better Regulation and Innovation), OECD. He is responsible for the development of he joint programme of work between the Regulatory Policy Committee and the Network of Economic regulators on regulation and emerging technologies. Prior to joining the OECD, he served as Head of the Rail Infrastructure Management Unit at ART(French Transport Regulatory Body) and as Chair of the bi-national permanent service for the regulation of the Channel Tunnel. He holds a PhD in Economics from the University Paris1 Panthéon-Sorbonne.
