Juan Montero is Full Professor in Administrative Law at UNED (Madrid) and Director of the Florence School of Regulation Transport Chapter at the European University Institute (Florence).

He received his PhD in EU Law at the European University Institute in 2001. He has extensively published on the regulation of the transport, telecoms and postal sectors, including topics such as access regulation, public service obligations, independent regulatory authorities, etc. His research has been focused over the last years on the digitalization of infrastructures, the interaction between digital platforms and traditional transport service providers, and the regulation of digital platforms.  

His latest book is “The Rise of the New network Industries. Regulating Digital Platforms”.
