Olivier de Bandt is currently the head of the directorate International Economics and Cooperation at the Banque de France, in charge of monitoring and forecasting developments in the world economy. He was until August 2018, director of Research and Risk Analysis at the ACPR, the French Prudential Supervision and Resolution Authority, in charge of horizontal and cross-sector risk analysis and supervision, as well as stress testing, for banks and insurance companies. His research, published in peer-reviewed academic papers, concentrates on the economics of banking and insurance, stress testing methods, the measurement of systemic risk, international economics and finance. He holds a PhD from the department of Economics of the University of Chicago (IL, USA).
