The OECD Network of Economic Regulators (NER) and the Governance & Regulation Chair at Université Paris Dauphine|PSL are cooperating on a webinar series and two in-person conferences (April 2026 and April 2027) aimed at exploring how data and digitalisation, including related tools such as artificial intelligence, can be relied upon by regulators to enhance regulatory and regulator's effectiveness, trust and sector resilience, while managing new risks related to cybersecurity, governance and accountability.

Long polarised around the public/private debate, the sector has done little to explore the central issue of its regulation, even though many questions remain unanswered.
