Decarbonisation implies a radical renewal of the technological base on which the economy and society are built. The colossal investments involved in the ecological transition are putting enormous pressure on raw materials markets and leading to a profound reorientation of supply chains. Industrial systems and logistics chains are also having to be reorganised, especially as, in addition to the desire to reduce carbon emissions, geopolitical tensions and sometimes social cohesion policies are leading to the relocation of production and a reduction in the geographical scope of commercial circuits.
